The Trust’s website has been redesigned to have a greater focused on our current projects and interests.  The feel of the site is lighter, and hopefully easier to use than before.  New features now allow us to upload our latest news and information more easily, and to take advantage of our social media feeds.

Please take a look around and let us know what you think, we are always keen to hear your comments.  Remember to pop back to the site regularly for updates on our projects and progress, and if you like what you see, or are inspired by what we do, please use the social media icons below to share our updates, news and articles.

Thank you.

My thoughts are for a Restaurant at the high level as in Plan 4. Being able to see out over Colchester would really enhance the area, especially with the Mercury Theatre in close proximity. A ground floor Bistro/Café as well would be good for the area.
The building must not be turned into a Museum, what a waste of an extraordinary piece of architecture, we have more than enough of these in Colchester with the Castle, Holly trees, Natural History and the biggest waste of public money the Firstsite Art Gallery. If the Balkerne Trust want to exhibit a permanent site for the pipework etc. put it in Firstsite the last time I went into the building it was empty apart from a couple of old jet engines in the entrance. They could set up an area with all the history of the Water Tower. But please do something to the Tower to bring it into the 21st century. I have tried for 10 years to get the owners of the tower to be able to get plans passed to make it a real Colchester Attraction.
